CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - TORONTO

Upcoming Equity auditions for Dirty Dancing by appointment only.
WHEN:   Starting December 17 & 18, 2006.  Continuing in January.
SEEKING:  Actors who dance and in some cases sing.  They must be
dramatic actors first.  It is not necessary that everyone can sing,
dance and act.  We would prefer they did two very well rather than three
okay.  Males & Females that can play between late teens and 40's with a
couple characters between 50 - 70 years old.
PREPARE:  Performers will need to bring their own music, preferably
songs from the era, 60's-70's, or contemporary music theatre/pop.  Songs
from the show are also fine to sing.  Traditional music theatre, i.e.,
Rogers and Hammerstein, would not be appropriate.  Actors should watch
the film as the show was created by Eleanor Bergstein who did the film.
REHEARSALS START:  Sept. 3/07 for Dancers, Sept. 10/07 for everyone else
PREVIEWS:  October 31/07
OPENS:  November 15/07
