JOB - GENERAL MANAGER - TORONTO

Toronto's Tarragon Theatre, devoted to the development and production of
new Canadian plays, seeks a General Manager, commencing June, 2006.  

We are looking for a creative manager and strategist with demonstrated
leadership and communication skills, knowledgeable about Canadian
theatre, whose key responsibilities will be: financial management and
reporting; implementation of fundraising strategies; direction of the
theatre's administrative and facility management functions with a staff
of 20 and a Board of Directors of 14; negotiation of employment
contracts with artists and staff; preparation of applications and
reports to government and foundation funders; organization of board
meetings; and active participation in the arts community through
Tarragon's membership and/or involvement in PACT, Creative Trust, TAPA,
and other artist associations.
