intelligently tackle any dialect and accent you may encounter in your
work.
David will share his resources, research methods and love of dialects
and accents through an
in-depth examination of two dialects (Texas & North British) and one
accent (French - Canada & France).

A chance for musical theatre performers to examine what material to
prepare for auditions, and to work on their delivery of both songs and
monologues. Time will also be devoted to issues such as: reading from
show scripts, "taking direction" and advance preparation.

3. ANIMOTION 1 - WINDSOR, NS

Mermaid Theatre's Institute of Puppetry Arts presents
ANIMOTION 1
The six-week intensive program, to be presented annually, is intended
for those with a strong interest in puppetry and physical theatre and
the desire to expand their range of abilities. The course will include
daily instruction in manipulation, movement, voice, clown, mask, design
and construction.
The program is called Animotion to reflect dual emphasis on animation
and the body in motion.
Eight-hour sessions will be held daily from Monday through Friday, with
students engaged in class-room instruction, group creation, and
production duties.
Training will take place at Mermaid Theatre's headquarters in Windsor,
NS. The program runs from February 20th to March 31, 2006 Cost is $1300
(Equity members $1040)
