A sequel to the popular "Another Season's Promise" (1986) ...
When Ken Purves lost the farm in the 1980's, he vowed that he would one
day buy it back. Twenty years later, the land is safely back in his
family's care his son, Robert, runs a giant feedlot operation while his
grandson has turned to organic farming on a smaller scale. Secure in the
knowledge that the farm is in good hands, Ken retires to take a cruise
on
the Mediterranean. But when he gets news of the mad cow crisis, he races
home to help. With a load of cattle stuck at the border, Robert and Ken
begin the battle for farmers everywhere, urging their neighbours to join
the fray. Ripe with drama and wit, Another Season's Harvest adds a
spirited human face to current events, putting the family farm front and
centre in a welcome return to our roots.
