Ad Hoc Theatre Group is seeking actors' submissions for our offsite
Summerworks Festival show.

Spaces and The Tree is an offbeat physical and rhythmic exploration
including performers and a percussionist, and set in an alleyway,
exploring the redemptive power of opening up to another human being, the
common needs for communion and to reach out for something larger than
ourselves, and the eternal hope that springs from these needs. 
It challenges an audience, like the characters, to set aside the
traditional paradigms of what communication is, and open up to a baser,
more visceral connection. In setting the play in an alley the audience
is brought out of an insular "space" and into communion with the
performers and each other.

Seeking: 
1 Male actor, age 35-65 to play both: 

Doc, a homeless war veteran, taciturn and reclusive, holding on to a lot
of guilt.

and 
				
Glitter Dan the Moon Man, a high energy, spastic shuffling drifter with
a harmonica.

Equity members participating in this production will be signed to a
Fringe waiver and all net proceeds from the production will be divided
equally among the participants.
