Summer Tap classes!
Here's a great chance to learn in a fun and safe
environment.
Another tap session will begin Monday July, 10, 2006.
Monday nights for four weeks (July 10-31) at OIP Dance
centre, 190 Richmond St. (East of Jarvis at George St.)
3 levels:
Absolute Beginner (tap shoes recommended but not
required)
Advanced Beginner Technique (solidify the basics-time
steps, paradiddles etc)
Intermediate (progresses quickly,rhythm
work,challenging combo.)
$80 for four classes (includes tax) Equity rate $64

2. EQUITY SHOWCASE WORKSHOPS - TORONTO

# 1733: The Summer Four Week Full Time Training Conservatory (with
on-camera intensive component)
Aug 8 - Sept 1 Mon - Fri 10:00 am - 5:00 pm CAEA $1440 Non-CAEA $1800
Deadline for application: July 21
2006 marks the 12th year for this exciting training conservatory under
the direction of Kevin McCormick with a Guest Faculty of experienced
professionals. The conservatory training provides a unique
well-structured training ground for actors. It is intense, demanding and
concentrated. Areas of training include: voice, speech, text, movement,
scene study, characterization, improvisation, monologue work, audition
technique, on-camera technique, introduction to clown, and stage
fighting. The Conservatory addresses the actor's body, mind, and soul
in the work and is committed to developing actors in a non-judgmental
environment where one is encouraged to be fearless and explorative. The
day to day structure of the classes is designed to build in impact and
is carefully crafted to help the actor explore, grow and build the
necessary connections between subject matter to help create a fuller,
richer, more dynamic and skilled actor.
