Waterloo Entertainment Centre is accepting mailed resumes for its
upcoming production of J.J. McColl's "Menopositive! The Musical" opening
its inaugural season in September 2006. Contract Dates; August 29 - Oct.
1 Tour dates to be confirmed. 
Audition requirements:- One song, preferably up tempo, belt.
- one short, high energy monologue.
- Please bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
            
"Menopositive! The Musical"  book and lyrics by J.J. McColl, music by
J.J. McColl and Reuben Gurr. 
Four strong singing/actors, to play age range 45-55.
Characters:
Kate: insecure single mother who has lost her dream to be a writer.

Marnie: embodies power: authority, intelligence, self assurance, humour,
drive. 

Cynthia: rich society woman.  A conservative, Christian, deferential
wife. At fifty-four she is the invisible woman. She can hardly bear it.

ZsuZsu: The ultimate survivor.  Now a poor custodian.  An ex-star of the
Hungarian Theatre. Once a star, always a star

Production will be directed by Allison Grant with musical direction by
Lona Davis. Please ensure your resume arrives by March 17.

Auditions will be held March 23, 24, 25 at Equity Showcase Theatre 651
Dufferin Street, Toronto.  Enter through the glass doors on the north
side of the building.
