AUDITION NOTICE - MONTREAL

4 Actor/Performer/Musicians Needed

For Black Theatre Workshop's School Touring Production 

Mella! Mella! by Gail Nyoka  Directed by Diane Roberts

Mella! Mella! blends fable and mysticism in the form of a folktale which
takes place long ago in the Land of the People, now known as Zimbabwe.
The story will be told using traditional African storytelling, dance,
puppetry and music.

Audition dates: November 30th and Dec 1st, 2006 in Montreal ONLY

Rehearsals Begin:	January 8th, 2007 
			Rehearsals will run with Saturday as the equity
day off

The tour begins:	Jan 29th and runs until Feb 24 with a possible 1
week 				extension

Audition Requirements:	
Please prepare and perform a folk tale and an acapella song. In
addition, actors may be asked to take part in ensemble exercises and
readings from the play text. Also please if you play any instruments or
have an aptitude for percussive instruments.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
