MANITOBA / NUNAVUT REGION 2006-2009 COUNCILLOR ELECTION RESULT ANNOUNCED

Equity’s 2003-2006 Councillor representative for the region of Manitoba is 
Tania Sigurdson. With a 42.5% return on ballots, Equity members in the 
Manitoba/Nunavut region voted in Ms Sigurdson as member of national Council,
defeating candidate Donna Fletcher in the Association’s first run-off election 
held on November 20th.
Many thanks to Reid Harrison and Sylvia Fisher who volunteered their time to
count the election ballots.
All newly elected Councillors will take office at the first meeting of Council,
November 26 - 28 in Toronto, where they will vote on the positions of President 
and the officers of the Association.
