JOB - ASSOCIATE PRODUCER - BARRIE

Talk Is Free Theatre (TIFT) in Barrie is inviting
applications for the position of Associate Producer. 
 
This November, Talk Is Free Theatre will be entering
its 5th season.  As an artist-driven company, Talk Is
Free produces a wide range of repertoire, with
specific emphasis on neglected works and genres. The
company has an impressive track record in artistic
innovation, business success and community
involvement. 
 
Reporting to the Artistic Producer, the Associate
Producer's  central responsibility will be generating
revenue for TIFT.  The Associate Producer is expected
to:   
 
 1) Manage and expand of the existing corporate
sponsorship program
 2) Manage and expand of the existing individual
giving program
 3) Plan, organize  and implement fundraising events
 4) Manage external communications: media relations,
newsletters, press releases, etc.
 5) Plan and manage audience development strategies in
several key areas such as tourist audiences, local
subscriber ship, etc.
6) Manage and expand the volunteer program
7) Manage ongoing youth and outreach programs.
 
We are looking for an innovative, visionary and
entrepreneurial individual. A candidate must have at
least two years of previous arts administration
experience. Successful candidate will show great
interest and potential for professional growth.
 
Deadline for submissions is on October 6, 2006. The
position is scheduled to begin in early January, 2007.
