AUDITION - EDMONTON

Open Auditions Catalyst Theatre
Open Auditions to be held September 21st 22nd and 23rd for Catalyst
Theatre's upcoming production of Frankenstein. The first incarnation of
this project is a co-production with Fort McMurray's Keyano Theatre at
Keyano College. Rehearsals will begin in Edmonton with the last week and
run in Fort McMurray. The second incarnation will be rehearsed and
presented at Catalyst Theatre in Edmonton. Jonathan Christenson,
Artistic Director at Catalyst Theatre, is adapting the script from Mary
Shelley's original story and will be directing this project. This
production will include both singing and movement components. First
production: Rehearsals October 23rd - November 16th (Edmonton)
November 18 - 22 (Fort McMurray)
Run November 24 opens - Dec 2nd closing
Second Production: Rehearsals February 20th - March 7th (Edmonton)
Run March 8 opens - March 25th closing
September 21st is reserved for Equity members. Auditions will be approx
10 minutes in length. Each actor will be reading from the text, and
singing a song of their choice. An accompanist will be provided. You
will be asked to
move so clothing that allows easy movement is recommended. Copies of the
text being read will be available on the audition day at Catalyst
Theatre.
Auditions: September 21st 12 noon to 5pm
September 22nd 7pm to 10pm
September 23rd 12 noon to 5pm

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
