CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - VANCOUVER

The Arts Club Theatre is accepting resumes for the musical THE PRODUCERS
by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan.   The director is Bill Millerd, Bruce
Kellett is Musical Director, and Valerie Easton is the Choreographer. We
are looking for experienced musical theatre performers who are
comfortable with various musical styles, can dance and perform character
parts.

Auditions will be held in Vancouver in August. Those selected for an
audition will be asked to prepare 16 bars of an uptempo song from the
musical theatre canon prior to 1970 and to bring sheet music, as well as
clothing and footwear appropriate for a dance audition. Actors who are
unable to attend the audition are asked to send a photo, resume and
video audition tape showing two contrasting songs from a musical and two
short dance routines.

Rehearsals begin on or about April 20, and the show will run at The
Stanley Theatre May 15 - July 13, 2008.

Resumes will be accepted until the end of business on Friday, July 27,
2007.   Please do not send resumes via fax or email.  
 
Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
