CANADIAN OPERA AGREEMENT WITH THE CANADIAN OPERA COMPANY UP FOR
RATIFICATION BY MEMBERSHIP 
------------------------------------------------------ 

Ratification packages have now been mailed to Equity members in good
standing who worked under the Canadian Opera Agreement during the term
of the last Agreement.

A ratification ballot and a copy of the proposed changes to the 2007 -
2010 Agreement, including detailed explanatory notes, are on the way to
the eligible voting membership.

Equity members who are currently away from home or who have recently
moved and not yet updated their mailing address with the Association
should contact Equity's National Office for further information.

Any eligible voter who does not receive a ballot by July 30, 2007 is
encouraged to contact Equity's National Office for assistance.

In order to be sure your ballot is received in time to be counted, mail
your completed ballot not later than Wednesday, August 15th, 2007. Only
ballots received in Equity's National Office prior to 5:00 p.m. EST on
Wednesday, August 29th, 2007 will be counted.

Results will be announced as soon as possible after the ballot count on
August 30th. 

A copy of the 2007 - 2010 Canadian Opera Agreement with the Canadian
Opera Company ratification package is now available in the Members Only
Zone of EQUITYONLINE at www.caea.com.
