AUDITIONS - EURIPIDES' HECUBA

Blackbird Theatre will be presenting Euripides' Hecuba at the Vancouver
East Cultural Centre from December 28, 2007 to January 12, 2008 in a new
version by Vancouver Poet Laureate George McWhirter, directed by John
Wright.  Rehearsal will begin on November 21.  

The company will apply to produce under the terms of the CAEA "Indie"
policy.  

All of the parts will be played by women. We are looking for experienced
actresses, aged 20s through 60s.

Interested persons should respond to ad at blackbirdtheatre.ca with their
resume and photo by Thursday, June 28. Selected auditioners will be
contacted by July 2.  We regret that because of a shortage in staff, we
are only able to contact those who are to be auditioned.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
