2008 - 2011 RWB AGREEMENT RATIFIED

The 2008 - 2011 Canadian Ballet Agreement with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet (RWB) recently negotiated between Equity and the RWB was ratified by the Equity membership in a ballot count held yesterday.
 
Members voted overwhelmingly in support of the proposed changes. 100% of the members who voted cast their vote in favour of the changes.
 
The new Agreement will come into effect on July 1, 2008 and will end June 30th, 2011.
 
Minimum compensation under the Agreement will increase by 4% in each of the three years. Central to the success of the negotiations was the RWB's commitment to tour the company's portable sprung floor for all performances at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.

Copies of the Agreement will be available at EQUITYONLINE and in hard copy as soon as printing allows.
