CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - TORONTO

Audition Call for Actor/Acrobats - The Forbidden Phoenix

Edmonton's Citadel Theatre and Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People
will be co-producing Marty Chan's new musical play in 2008/09. Using
elements of Peking Opera, martial arts, and western musical theatre, the
play tells the story of a man who leaves oppression and poverty to find
a new life for his family only to encounter greed and destruction in the
new land.

Auditions will be held on May 15th at 165 Front Street East, Toronto ON.
Artists with significant skills in stage combat, acrobatics, gymnastics,
as well as singing and acting are invited to submit resumes to LKTYP no
later than May 5, 2008. CAEA performers with extensive experience in
complex stage movement (combat, acrobatics, etc.) will be given
priority. Artists of all cultural backgrounds with the above mentioned
skills are invited to submit resumes.  Send headshot/resume clearly
marked Equity or Non-Equity and & "Forbidden Phoenix Auditions" to the
attention of Stephen Colella.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
