Miss Julie: Freedom Summer

A co-production with the Playhouse Theatre Company, Vancouver

Auditions will be held in Toronto in May.

Auditions will also be held in Vancouver but a separate call for those
submissions will be sent out at a later date.

Rehearsals begin in VANCOUVER December 22, 2008  
Run in Vancouver:  January 15 to 31, 2009.  Run in Toronto:  February 9
to March 7, 2009 

Roles:
John - Male, African American, 30s or 40s
The chauffeur.  Strong, sexy, defiant. A rule breaker and dreamer.

Christine - Female, African American, 20s or 30s
The cook.  Religious with an inner strength and faith and a firm view of
right and wrong.

Send submissions no later than May 5, 2008 to Gail Packwood, CanStage,
26 Berkeley Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5A 2W3.  We invite resumes from
artists of diverse cultures and ethnicities.  Submit a hard copy
resume/photo only - no phone calls or emails - thanks.  Only those
selected for an audition will be contacted. 
 
Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
