Time: 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
Venue: Studio M, 1290 Finch Avenue West, Unit 17 (north east corner of
Keele and Finch, back of the plaza) Please submit your headshot and
resume electronically to africantheatre at bellnet.ca Sides are available;
audition times will be booked. "Anansewa!"  is an hour long play that
will be performed in schools in the Greater Toronto Area. Performance
dates: Black History 2009, February 2nd  to 28th.
Storyteller: Black male, 35 - 45 years. The Storyteller is familiar with
Ananse's scams and stories but also fascinated with him because Ananse's
bag of tricks is huger than anybody's experience. The Storyteller enjoys
the story currently unfolding.
Ananse: Black male, 40 - 45 years. Ananse is playful, quick-witted but
sometime short-sighted and above all a "trickster," who devises clever
schemes to solve his problems.
Anansewa: Black female, 18 - 20 years. Anansewa is a lively young woman.
She loves her father and appreciates his support.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
