CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - VANCOUVER

The Arts Club Theatre is currently accepting resumes for its production
of the musical ALTAR BOYZ  by Kevin Del Aguila, Gary Adler and Michael
Patrick Walker.  ALTAR BOYZ is a satirical  musical comedy about a
fictitious Christian boy-band on the last night of their national "Raise
the Praise" tour.  We are looking for males to play between 18 and 25
years of age with musical theatre experience.  The director is Bill
Millerd, Sasha Niechoda is Musical Director, and Sara Jeanne Hosie is
the Choreographer. 

Rehearsals will begin mid-December, and will go on tour across British
Columbia from approximately January 14 - February 15, 2009.  The show
will then run at the Arts Club's Granville Island Stage from June 18 -
August 1, 2009.  

Auditions will be held in Vancouver in mid-July.   Those selected for an
audition will be asked to prepare and bring sheet music for a song from
a 1990's "Boy Band" such as the BackStreet Boys, NSYNC, 98 Degrees, Boyz
II Men, Boyzone or Take That.  A dance audition will follow the vocal
audition; auditioners should bring appropriate clothing and footwear.
Actors who are unable to attend the audition are asked to send a photo,
resume and video or dvd audition of a "Boy Band" song and a short dance

Resumes will be accepted until the end of business on Tuesday, July 8,
2008.   Please do not send resumes via fax or email.  

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
