JOB - ASSOCIATE DEAN - EDMONTON

MacEwan's Centre for the Arts and Communications (CFAC) is seeking an
Associate Dean to provide leadership and direction within a dynamic
intellectual and creative environment.

The candidate must have vision and passion for excellence in arts and
communications education, as well as a strong record of teaching,
research, academic and creative achievement. A graduate degree (PhD
preferred) in Communication or a relevant discipline is required, in
combination with significant teaching and leadership experience at the
post-secondary level.

Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills are
necessary, as well as superior skills in administration.  The successful
applicant will possess the ability to establish rapport and effective
working relationships with faculty, staff, students and external
contacts to ensure continued vitality and enhancement of academic
programs. Ideally, the Associate Dean will provide leadership on
development and implementation of the Bachelor of Communication Studies.
The ability to manage change within a collaborative environment, and
advocate effectively for the interests of the CFAC is also desirable.
