THE THING ABOUT MEN
by Joe DiPietro & Jimmy Roberts
"I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change"
Director: Valerie Easton
Music Director: Wendy Bross Stuart
THE THING ABOUT MEN is a fast-paced musical comedy with complicated,
farcical plotting on a strong, romantic emotional foundation. Two-timing
advertising executive Tom leaves his wife Lucy and becomes the roommate
of Sebastian, the down-on-his-luck artist with whom Lucy is having an
affair. Tom's attempts to manage his two identities and drive a wedge
between his wife and her lover open the doors to plenty of comic and
dramatic possibilities. Auditions for THE THING ABOUT MEN will be held
at the Unitarian Church of Vancouver, 949 Oak Street on Friday, May 30th
and at Presentation House Theatre, 333 Chesterfield Ave., North
Vancouver on Saturday, May 31st, with callbacks Monday, June 2nd. The
show will run from November 21st through December 6, 2008. Rehearsals
will take place during the day (Monday thru Saturday) beginning October
27, 2008 at Presentation House, North Vancouver . This will be part of
the Presentation House Theatre's Third Street series next year

Lucy: A loving woman who isn't getting the love she needs. Tom's wife.
35-45.
Sebastian: An artist in a downtown bohemian slum. Lucy's lover. 30-45.
