CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - PORT COLBORNE

Showboat Festival Theatre in Port Colborne, ON, is inviting resumes from
mature actors to play the role of BURT in our summer production of A
BENCH IN THE SUN.

Burt is described as "a true pessimist who considers himself a realist.
Clothing means nothing to him" Imagine Walter Matthau in GRUMPY OLD MEN.


A BENCH IN THE SUN is a 3 character play, set on the grounds of a
residence for retired citizens. The actor should be believable as being
in his 70's.

Rehearsals begin June 30. Opening is July 17. Closing is August 2. A
five week contract. Directed by David Savoy. The roles of HAROLD and
ADRIENNE have already been cast.

Interested actors should be up to the rigors of an 11 day rehearsal
period before tech.

Showboat Festival Theatre performs "in the round" at the Roselawn
Centre.

Some private accommodation is available.

And there will be baking (chocolate pecan pie a specialty.)

Actors will be engaged under an ITA - CAEA contract.

members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
