CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - VANCOUVER

AUDITON NOTICE
The STAD Ad Hoc group is doing a workshop presentation of the new
musical Slave to a Dream in October 2008.  We are casting 8 characters
of various ethnicities: Black, Hispanic, White, Asian, Native, East
Indian, Oceanic, Aborigine and everything else in between.  The
characters to be cast are: A curious yet innocent adventurer. 
A Matriach who commands attention and loves freely. 
A Patriach with a cool demeanor and dulcet tones.
A beautiful and sultry free-spirit. 
An edgy & saucy soul who is also loyal.
A smooth-talking lyricist.
A sweet-talking master of ceremonies.
A playful old soul, considered a "jack-of-all-trades".

Auditions will be held June 10th and 11th with the potential for
call-backs on June 14th.  

Please prepare one contemporary monologue and other monologue of your
choice both approximately one minute and one a capella piece
approximately one minute.  

Auditions will take place at Tooba Physical Theatre, #210 - 207 West
Hastings Street. To request an audition, please email your headshot and

Please be aware that space is limited and only those selected will be
given an audition timeslot. Thank you to all applicants. Submissions
cut-off is Friday June 7th @  5pm.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
