EQUITY MEMBER ADVISORY - PLEASE VERIFY YOUR ELECTORAL REGION AND
DISCIPLINE

Equity has just completed a comprehensive review of member data in
anticipation of the Association's upcoming elections in 2009. To ensure
that our information is completely up-to-date we are asking members to
verify his/her primary discipline category (choreographer, director,
fight director, performer or stage manager) and electoral voting region.
A letter including this information has been sent to each member along
with your recent dues statement or membership card.

Any member who believes an alternate setting would more accurately
reflect what he/she does or the electoral region he/she should vote in,
may notify Equity by logging on to the Members Only zone of EQUITYONLINE
(www.caea.com) and following the instructions to "Update your Region or
Discipline."

Stage managers should note that their electoral region automatically
defaults to the stage management region unless you opt to remain in an
applicable geographic region. Stage managers are now able to designate
their geographical electoral region online.

The most likely cause of an incorrect electoral region is having an
out-of-date permanent address on file with the Association. All members
are encouraged to regularly update contact information, including your
email address, in the Members Only zone at www.caea.com.

To better serve our membership, Equity will now list members' electoral
region and primary discipline designations online in the Members Only
zone of EQUITYONLINE (www.caea.com).

If you have yet to log on to EQUITYONLINE, you must know your member
number (listed on the enclosed invoice or receipt) and have a valid
email address on file with us. Log in to the Members Only zone using
your member number and click the "Temporary Password" button. Further
instructions will be emailed to your address on file.

If you have trouble logging on, or if you do not have access to the
internet, please call Equity's National Office at 1-800-387-1856 (or
416-867-9165 in Toronto only), Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m.
and 5:00 p.m. EDST) to make alternative arrangements.
