Lighthouse Festival Theatre has an employment opportunity for a
full-time Publicist. This is an exciting, fast-paced, dynamic position.
It demands flexibility, ingenuity, and good humour, strong
organizational skills and creativity, excellent written and verbal
communication skills, along with the sensitivity to work cooperatively
within the community, and a commitment to community issues. Reporting to
the Artistic and Administrative Directors, the candidate will be
responsible for overseeing all public and media relations,
communications, publicity, promotion, advertising, marketing and
development. The Lighthouse Publicist is responsible for researching,
writing and distributing all marketing and press activities. Duties
include but are not limited to:* Liasing with all corporate and
community partners, sponsors and businesses* Advertising, design and
publicity for all theatre events* Press and media relations* Attending
all relevant social engagements* Monitoring annual publicity budget*
Development, production, design and management of season programs,
flyers and other printed advertising material* Coordinating and
maintaining all mailings specific to the publicity department*
Maintaining and regularly updating the website* Attending meetings as
required* Adhering to al CTA and PACT regulations pursuant to publicity
