CANDIDATE ELECTION STATEMENTS NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE

Nominee statements for all of Equity electoral regions are now posted
online at http://www.caea.com.

Nominees in any constituency where the number of nominated candidates
was equal to or less than the number of positions available have been
declared acclaimed. Election ballots will be mailed to those
constituencies where the slate of candidates is sufficient to require it
on September 14, 2009, and the results will be announced on October 30,
2009.

There are a few positions for which no nominations were received.
Council's policies include detailed provisions for filling vacant seats,
and that will be a top priority for us in the new term. Equity Council's
mandate is to represent the membership in all disciplines and regions,
and we will continue to live up to that standard.

Equity members must ensure that they are in good standing by August 28,
2009 in order to be eligible to vote in the upcoming member elections.
Current membership status is posted in the members only zone of
EQUITYONLINE at http://www.caea.com online or contact Equity's
membership department for further information.
 
Any Equity member who will be away from his/her primary residence during
September and October 2009 should identify a temporary address in the
members only zone of EQUITYONLINE by August 28, 2009.
 
Equity stage managers have the option to vote in the stage management
electoral region, their local geographical electoral region or in the
Eastern Opera, Western Opera or Dance electoral regions (as applicable).
Stage Managers are encouraged to visit the members only zone of
EQUITYONLINE at http://www.caea.com to review and update their electoral
region designation if necessary.
