2009 - 2012 CTA RATIFIED

The recently negotiated Canadian Theatre Agreement (CTA) with the
Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT) was ratified by the
Equity membership in a ballot count held earlier today.
 
Members voted 90.7% in support of the proposed changes. The return rate
on the CTA ballots mailed was 23%.

The negotiated changes to the CTA take effect Monday, August 24, 2009,
and the Agreement extends to June 24th, 2012. Please be advised that
there were no negotiated changes to the 2006-2009 CTA except for minimum
fees and other monetary amounts for 2009-2012.
 
Copies of the new "2009 - 2012 CTA minimum fees and other monetary
amounts" booklet are now available on EQUITYONLINE (http://www.caea.com)
or contact an Equity office to receive a hard copy.
