Additional information:
Vancouver Opera will be holding auditions for Chorus and Vancouver Opera
in Schools (VOIS) roles for the 2009-2010 Season, on March 16th, 2009.

Main stage productions: Norma, Nixon in China, Le Nozze di Figaro,
Madama Butterfly VOIS production: Jack Pine

Audition requirements:

Chorus:
Three opera arias - one in Italian, one in English and one in a language
of your choice. 
(Any chorister who has sung 4 or more Vancouver Opera productions, 2 of
which with the current chorus master, are not required to audition.)

Vancouver Opera In Schools:
Three opera arias - one in Italian, one in English and one in a language
of your choice. 
(Jack Pine Roles: Soprano, Mezzo, Tenor, Bass)

All arias must be in the original language. 
Each aria must be no longer than 5 minutes in length.
Oratorio and art song selections are not permitted. 
Applicants must be eligible to legally work in Canada.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
