4th Line Theatre, an outdoor theatre company located in Millbrook,
Ontario, is currently looking for two Assistant Costume Designers for
our 2009 summer season.

Responsibilities of this position will include:

*       The cut and construction of theatrical costumes. This includes
draping and flat pattern drafting, knowledge of historical patterns,
fabrics, decorations and construction techniques and knowledge of
tailoring techniques.
*       Working with the Costume Designer to design, create and purchase
costumes and accessories for the productions.
*       Arranging costume fittings, taking actors' measurements for
garments and accessories, such as wigs, shoes and hats.
*       Shopping at fabric, craft, charity, and clothes shops.
*       Assisting with the management and organizing of the costume shop
and stock.
*       Perform other duties as assigned.

Skill Requirements:
*       Must have costume cutting, draping, flat pattern drafting,
tailoring and construction skills at a professional level.
*       Should be a graduate of a theatre school programme or have
equivalent experience. 
*       Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
*       The successful candidate will be creative, curious and
passionate about theatre and have the ability to work in a team
environment.
*       A valid Ontario Driver's License and a vehicle an asset.
*       Must enjoy working outdoors.
