NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2009 EQUITY ELECTIONS NOW UNDERWAY

Equity is led by its members, for its members. Are you an active
representative of Equity within your regional community, providing
inspiration, enthusiasm and leadership? Are you ready to take on a
rewarding challenge?

In October 2009, Equity members from across Canada will be elected to
serve on Council and as regional Council Policy Advisory Group (CPAG)
members for the 2009-2012 term.

You are eligible to run for elected office if you are a regular member
of Equity in good standing, at least 18 years of age and reside in
Canada.

Members may stand for election by being nominated, in writing, by two
other members. The nomination form must be signed by the member, and by
two other members in good standing, and returned to Equity's National
Office by July 30, 2009. Nomination forms are available online at
http//www.caea.com.

Equity is dedicated to the election of a Council and CPAGs who represent
the diverse membership of the Association. We embrace diversity and
inclusiveness, and we are committed to the principles of fairness,
transparency and access. Council encourages members of a visible
minority group, Aboriginal peoples, persons with a disability and women
to seek nomination for election.
