We are currently accepting Director Submissions for the 2009/2010
Reading Series. First Draft provides an opportunity for new work to be
read by actors in front of an audience and invited industry
professionals. If selected you will be matched with a new or developing
play for public reading.

Founded in 1992, First Draft Theatre is passionate about the development
and promotion of new Canadian work.  By actively encouraging dialogue
between writer, actor and spectator, the writer has access to a varied
audience to assist in the writing process.  Readings occur on the last
Monday of every month from September to May, except December.

As a Director, this is your chance to take the traditional "reading"
format and make it something entertaining and unique. We encourage
cultural diversity.

Criteria:
*         Directors must be full Equity Members in good    standing
*         Have experience directing readings
*         Experience with new works is an asset
