Additional information:
Dusk Dances, a dance festival in public parks first created in 1993, is
auditioning for the role of hostess/host for a one-week series of
performances in Vancouver, BC.
Please submit a resume and photograph to Festival Director Sylvie
Bouchard at sylvie at duskdances.ca. We are looking specifically for
performers who have created their own characters and who have experience
hosting or MC'ing. A strong background in clown, improvisation or mask
work is an asset. Strong vocal ability is a must.
During the audition, successful applicants will be asked to perform 1-2
minutes of their own material in character. (If applicants want to
present more than one character, please let us know in advance, and
you'll be given the opportunity to present a maximum of three.)
Performers must be available to rehearse between 12 and 15 hours from
Monday July 6th to Sunday July 12th, and be willing to travel to
Vancouver from Monday July 13th to Sunday July 19th.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
