Out of the Box Productions believes that by combining drama, dance and
music in unique multidisciplinary works, and presenting in more intimate
venues, we have created a powerful way to tell stories that are
meaningful for our whole community.

"Sound in Silence" is our 5th original work which explores how the deaf
"hear" music. Inspired by artists such as Eve-Lyn Glennie and by the
phenomenon of Neuroplasticity, "Sound in Silence" takes place inside the
brain of a deaf dancer. Integrating live and recorded music, dance,
video and sound, this work delves into the world of the brain.

We are searching for a strong performer (male or female) who is fluent
in ASL. This person is fully integrated into the show; must have strong
movement skills.

Rehearsals begin June 1st. Opening June 18th. Close June 21st. At the
Theatre Centre on Queen Street West in Toronto.

Auditions will be on Saturday March 14th. Please submit a CV and

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
