SEEKING AN EQUITY REP FOR THE PAL CANADA BOARD

PAL (Performing Arts Lodges) Canada exists primarily to improve the
efficiency and effectiveness of its regional chapters in providing
non-profit residential accommodation exclusively for persons with
conditions associated with aging and /or disability, and persons of low
income who work in or have worked in the performing arts industry in
Canada. 
PAL chapters exist in Toronto, Halifax, Winnipeg, Calgary, Stratford,
Vancouver and a contact in Edmonton.  On the board are representatives
of Equity, ACTRA, AFof M, as well as Members-at-Large and Chapter
representatives. There are PAL apartment buildings so far in Toronto and
Vancouver. Meetings are every couple of months, usually Mondays at 1:00
p.m. plus the occasional committee meeting. 
The Equity Representative can reside anywhere in Canada as the meetings
are by teleconference.
