Alberta Theatre Projects is auditioning actors for Shakespeare's Dog, directed by Nigel Shawn Williams

Scenes will be provided to actors called in for an audition.  Director, Nigel Shawn Williams, will be in attendance, as will Dianne Goodman (ATP Artistic Associate) and Amy Lynn Strilchuk (ATP Assistant Dramaturg). 

Roles:
Will Shakespeare: male, playing age: mid 20s, boyish, charming.

Mary (Will's mother)/ Mam (Hooker's mother)/Moll Braxton (a witch): female, playing age: late 40s - early 50s, matriarch figure with warmth.

John (Will's father)/Onion (an older dog): male, playing age: early 50s, warm, loveable, soulful.

Joan (Will's sister)/Terry (Hooker's sister): female, playing age: early 20s, ingénue with a dark edge.

Anne Hathaway (Will's wife)/Marr (Hooker's lover): female, playing age: 30s, strong willed, smart, fierce.

Wolf (younger dog)/Davy Jones (tavern owner & theatre producer)/Ralph Cawdry (a butcher): male, playing age: mid-late 30s, physical, strong, funny.  This actor will have a couple of intense fight sequences.

Sir Richard (a Queen's man)/Black Shag (a Forest Regarder): male, playing age: 40s, smart, pompous.
