Ghost River Theatre develops, produces and premieres new work in
Calgary, Alberta.

The General Manager collaborates with Co-Artistic Directors on short and
long-term planning. Reporting to the Co-Artistic Directors, the GM is
responsible for overall management of the company, including:

-financial management, administration, development of season and project
budgets (we employ a book-keeper for accounting) -overseeing one or two
productions, a development workshop, and one-to-two other events (eg.
annual fundraiser, national/international tours) -fund development (in
cooperation with the board of directors) grant writing and liaison with
funding agencies -overseeing marketing and promotion of the company,
shows and ancillary events -human resources - contracting artists,
production and administrative personnel -board and community liaison

The candidate should have excellent written and oral communication
skills, background/education in arts administration and management, know
how to use standard computer software, and have the ability to work
independently and also as part of a team. 

The position is part time (20-25 hours per week). The position commences
June 1 to allow for training time with the current General Manager.
Salary commensurate with experience.
