Resurgence Theatre Co. in Newmarket, Ontario is seeking a director for
their Senior Youth Theatre Conservatory. The successful applicant will
be responsible for spear-heading, teaching, and directing students in
our Senior Conservatory.

Open to students in grades 9 to 12, the Senior Conservatory is an
intensive program that allows up to 12 youth the opportunity to learn
from professional theatre artists and perform in a production as part of
the 2009 York Shakespeare Festival. Students are selected from all over
York Region by audition and are chosen by the director.

Recognized by the Ministry of Education, students receive both an open
Grade 11 & Grade 12 Drama in the Community credit (ADC30 & ADC40)
towards their secondary school diploma.

Classes run from Monday to Friday (8:30 am to 4 pm) from July 7th to
August 14th, 2009.

Resurgence's Senior Youth Theatre Conservatory is housed in the Country
Day School Performing Arts Centre in King City.

The pay is approximately $600 a week.

Applicants must have own transportation as they will need to travel to
King City and Newmarket.
