VANCOUVER OPERA AGREEMENT WITH VANCOUVER OPERA ASSOCIATION UP FOR
RATIFICATION BY MEMBERSHIP 
------------------------------------------------------ 

Ratification packages have now been mailed to Equity members in good
standing who worked under the Vancouver Opera Agreement during the term
of the last Agreement.

A ratification ballot and a copy of the proposed changes to the 2009 -
2014 Agreement, including detailed explanatory notes, are now on the way
to the eligible voting membership.

Equity members who are currently away from home or who have recently
moved and not yet updated their mailing address with the Association
should contact Equity's National Office for further information.

Any eligible voter who does not receive a ballot by May 25, 2009 is
encouraged to contact Equity's National Office for assistance.

In order to be sure your ballot is received in time to be counted, mail
your completed ballot not later than Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009. Only
ballots received in Equity's National Office prior to 5:00 p.m. EST on
Thursday, June 18th, 2009 will be counted.

Results will be announced as soon as possible after the ballot count on
June 19th. 

A copy of the 2009 - 2014 Vancouver Opera Agreement with the Vancouver
Opera Association ratification package is now available in the Members
Only Zone of EQUITYONLINE at www.caea.com.
