Call for Submissions

Onelight Theatre is currently accepting headshots and resumes for an
upcoming role in Return Ticket, a new play by Shahin Sayadi.

Return Ticket is a docu-drama style production that tells the story of a
playwright traveling back and forth between Halifax and his hometown of
Abadan, Iran. The character is writing a play about his uncle who became
famous for remaining in Abadan through eight years of war with Iraq.

We are looking for an actor to play this fourty year old character,
preferably someone of Iranian descent who can speak Persian. This being
said, we encourage artists of all ethnicities and cultural backgrounds
to apply.

Depending on the volume of applications received, Onelight may not be
able to schedule all applicants for an audition. In scheduling
auditions, we will be giving priority to Equity actors. We will keep all
applications on file for future consideration.
