Artistic Associate(Maternity Leave Replacement)

Gateway Theatre is looking for an Artistic Associate starting February
1, 2010- January 31, 2011 Monday - Friday with some weekends and evening
work as required.  Candidates with at least five years of professional
theatre experience are encouraged to apply.

Ideally, the candidate is one who is interested in learning to be an
Artistic Director of a regional theatre.  Reporting to the Artistic
Director Simon Johnston, the candidate will be responsible for producing
the SceneFirst play development program and other special projects. The
position will also act as an artistic liaison for all Gateway programs,
assist the Artistic Director in planning, researching and implementing
the MainStage, Studio, SceneFirst and Community Connections programming.
Skills required include a thorough knowledge of professional theatre
practice with specific reference to actors, directors, designers and
other artists and theatre practitioners working in the Lower Mainland.
