Shakespeare in Action is Canada's Leading Shakespeare Company for Young
Audiences.  We are a multicultural company, committed to providing the
highest-quality presentations of classical theatre.

We are currently holding general auditions for our upcoming main-stage
production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Rehearsals will begin March
28th, 2010, and the production will run from April 15 - May 1st, 2010.
Please do not submit for this round of general auditions unless you are
available for this contract.

Shakespeare in Action operates under the jurisdiction of the Canadian
Actors Equity Association, and we will be offering contracts under in
accordance with the TYA Agreement.  We will also see a limited number of
non-Equity or Equity Apprentices.

To register your interest, please email a resume and copy of your
headshot to shakespeareinaction at gmail.com before Thursday 19th November.
Please include a brief summary of your experience working with
Shakespeare in the body of the email.

Successful applicants will be contacted by telephone for an audition.
Successful applicants will be required to perform a 2-minute comedic
Shakespeare monologue and a 2-minute dramatic monologue from
Shakespeare.

Due to the high number of applicants, we unfortunately are unable to
receive enquiries by phone.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
