Brandon University's Drama program seeks a one-year, full-time
sabbatical replacement at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor in
the area of Acting, subject to budget. Areas of instruction include:
Spolin-based improvisation, scene study classes in both modern drama and
Shakespeare and the direction of a major student production. Candidates
should possess a Master of Fine Arts in Acting or Directing,
post-secondary teaching and professional theatre experience. Candidates
may apply without the M.F.A. if there is excellence in the other two
areas. Knowledge of theatre production would also be advantageous.
The Drama Program is resident within the Faculty of Arts. Courses in
Drama serve the needs of the general campus community as well as
students from the preprofessional conservatory program in the School of
Music.
Preferred start date: 1 August 2010
