2009-2012 EQUITY ATLANTIC AND DANCE REGION BY-ELECTION RESULTS ANNOUNCED

Following the close of the by-election nomination period, Sharon DiGenova has been acclaimed as the Councillor for the Dance Region and John O'Keefe has been acclaimed as the Councillor for the Atlantic Region. 

No candidates were nominated for either the Dance or the Atlantic Council Policy Advisory Groups (CPAGs). Council's policies include detailed provisions for filling vacant CPAG seats, and that will be a top priority for the new term. 

All of Equity's newly elected Councillors will take office at the first meeting of Equity's Council, November 29 - December 1 in Toronto, where they will vote on the positions of President and the officers of the Association. 

The newly elected regional CPAGs will take on their responsibilities in early December. CPAG meeting information will be posted on EQUITYONLINE at www.caea.com as soon as it becomes available.
