EQUIFLASH [DIRECTOR WORKSHOPS - PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDING FOR
EQUITY MEMBERS - TORONTO]

Canadian Actors' Equity Association is providing professional
development funding for two activities in the "Directors Summit," part
of Nightwood Theatre's "4x4 Festival: An Off-Road Event of Women
Directors."

All Equity members in good standing are eligible for a $40 discount  
in funding for these two workshops:
- Kalideography (November 14, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and November 15,  
10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.): Jillian Keiley of Artistic Fraud  
(Newfoundland) will lead a crash course in a system of synchronized
movement harmonics and the creation of layered and complex stage
landscapes (maximum 30 participants). Equity - $45 / non-Equity $85
- The Director's Toolkit (November 16 and 17, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00  
p.m.): Liesl Tommy, director and instructor at Juilliard and Brown  
University will lead participants in an exploration of the tools of
collaboration: understanding the playwright's process, the art of
dramaturgy, and interpretation and illumination within the actor's
journey (maximum 40 participants). Equity - $45 / non-Equity $85
