Douglas College's Stagecraft Program requires an instructor to teach a
first year Stage Management course commencing January 8, 2010. The
course will be delivered in a five-week module; 1 class of 3 hours per
week. This is an introductory course covering the duties and
responsibilities of the Stage Manager; techniques for pre-production,
run, and post-production; and developing a prompt script.
Applicants should possess a post-secondary diploma or degree in theatre
studies, or equivalent, and should have related work experience
including theatre as well as events or other related areas. Preference
will be given to candidates with previous teaching experience at the
post- secondary level.
