Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:
We are seeking gifted actors who have professional training and/or
equivalent professional experience and can reasonably play early-mid
20s, regardless of ethnicity or any other consideration.
Additional information:
Tango Co. is casting for our production of "The Innocents" at the 2010
SummerWorks Festival, August 5-15.
"The Innocents", written and directed by Daniel Karasik, is a legal
thriller and a meditation on passion, ambition, youth, and desire.
It was developed through the Tarragon Theatre's 2008 Playwrights Unit.
The SummerWorks Festival production will be its world premiere.
We're actively casting four of the play's five parts:
STANLEY (M) - 24, prodigy lawyer; brilliant, emotionally stunted
JUDE (M) - 23, would-be entrepreneur; joyful, shrewd, in no hurry
JACKIE (F) - 21, a student; sensitive, stuck in a rut; her ex-boyfriend
is accused of murder
LAURA (F) - 26, successful journalist; smart, driven, lonely
"The Innocents" will be produced under a Fringe/SummerWorks equal
profit-sharing agreement.

Equity members participating in this production will be signed to a
Fringe application and all net proceeds from the production will be
divided equally among the participants.
