Storyline: Ex-NHLer, Tom Shaw is saddled with making the annual Victoria
Day Tomato Festival parade the best that Big Oak has ever seen. His
problems may be solved when an aging television cowboy star, Ned
Durango, rides to the rescue of the economically troubled small town.
Music and Lyrics by Leslie Arden. Book by Norm Foster.
Roles:
Tom Shaw - 40 to 50 - Tenor
Ex-hockey player who runs a restaurant in Big Oak.
Orson - 45 to 55 - Bari-tenor
Tom's best friend. He's a man of simple tastes with a big heart.
Ned Durango - 60 plus - Baritone
An ex-television cowboy star.
Catherine Wilson - 40 to 50 - Mezzo Soprano
She is the Mayor of Big Oak.
Kay - 20 to 25 - Soprano
She aspires to be a country singer.
Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
