Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:
Theatre Passe Muraille is seeking an adult male actor who can play a
twelve-year-old South-Asian or Chinese character for the role of King
Kumar in a play we will produce for the fall of 2010.

Play Description -

The story of Chumki (11) and King Kumar (12) follows the lives of two
best friends who live and work at the train stations of Calcutta India.
One is a blind boot polish girl who desperately wants her vision back
and the other, a quick witted, fast talking, mobile tea seller, who
wants to be a movie star in Bombay.

Additional information:
The selected applicants will be contacted to arrange an audition time
(and place) for February 22, 2010. Sides will be provided in advance by
email.
