Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:
The Town of Gravelbourg is termed the 'Touch of Europe on the Prairies'.
Now, more then ever, these statements have not only been proven
accurate, but have provided a welcoming introduction for people from
around the world to come lay roots in this vibrant community.

Additional information:
The Town of Gravelbourg is seeking a highly motivated theatrical artist
to work as the Theatrical Artist in Residence. The artist will continue
the work started by the Artist in Residence in 2009-2010. Duties include
hosting workshops, working with the youth, working in the schools,
coordinating a community production and helping to establish a Community
Theatrical Group.

The ideal candidate will be a professional theatrical artist who is a
Saskatchewan resident (minimum 1 year); have a Bachelor's degree in Arts
(minimum); have superior communication and motivational skills; and have
experience developing and teaching theatrical workshops. Bilingual
skills are an asset.

*       12 Month Contract
*       $30 000/year plus salary benefits
*       The Town of Gravelbourg will provide venue/studio space at the
Gaiety Theatre.
*       Artist will divide their time equally between pursuing their own
creative work (approx 20hrs/wk) and working for the Town of Gravelbourg
(approx 20hrs/wk).  Hours will be flexible.
