Job Description:
Answering to the Technical Director, the Assistant Technical Director
will be responsible for (but not limited to):
-Operation and maintenance of lighting and sound equipment for TOV
performances and user groups.
-To liaison with rental and user groups prior to Opera House use.
-Assisting with load-in and out of sets and scenic elements (including
draperies, backdrops and other miscellaneous elements)
-Ensures the safety of the theatre and the upkeep of all safety
regulations.
-In co-operation with the Technical Director, provides a safe
environment for the cast in house and backstage.
-Assisting in the carpentry shop as needed.

Requirements:
-Minimum 2 years experience in a professional theatre
-Reading and analyzing technical drawings.
-Organizational, self-motivation and time management skills are of the
utmost importance.
-A valid driver's license is an advantage.
-A diploma or degree in a post-secondary technical theatre production
program.
-First Aid training is an Asset
-Ability to work independently and in and team environment.
